Our Riverside Studio

While our independent teachers and community group sessions and workshops are based at the high street hub, we offer our own one to one tuition with Marie at the Riverside Centre on Newport Quay.

The teaching studio is more accessible for students with mobility issues and is available to anyone we work with, should  they need it.

Marie teaches piano/keyboard, saxophone, recorder and music theory to all ages.

For piano lessons we offer the Wunderkeys

curriculum which starts from just age 3

and now includes an Older Beginners

series suitable for older teens and adults.

With everything in between! From cartoon based method books for the younger students and pop, rock, celtic and classical music for teens, the course provides something for everyone.

The programme includes games and activities to engage the younger pianists and the course authors offer lots of extra resources and support to the teachers.

For other instruments, we use a variety of resources and tailor every lesson to the student and their aims and needs. Our repertoire will cover solo pieces, duets, piano accompanied pieces and tunes played with backing tracks.

All tuition includes music theory, or, if you are having lessons already, we can do it as an individual subject.

While Marie likes to teach with the main aim being fun and to learn enough music to entertain yourself and your friends and family, we are also registered with exam boards, should you wish to be entered for these when  you’re ready.
